ea launcher acting goofy

was playin sims4 on  up till origins. when origins when i had to use ea launcher. issue is any time i dont manually open the ea launcher as admin, it half loads everything and says "things are taking a little longer than usual to load up. hang tight while we try to solve the problem" i clear the cache then open as admin. it says i can download sims4, when i imput the download path ect it starts the download but is infinite loop. no download progress after 9 hours. connections not the issue. if i connect to a vpn same issue. if i disconnect my wifi client grey screens and wont let me do anything till i reconnect. please help. SOS
