EA repair is broken??

I opened up EA today in an attempt to play sims 4, but it told me a repair was needed to play the game. I was playing in offline mode because of the update, but I went back online and started to repair the game. The first time I attempted to repair it, it got to 50% and crashed. I launched it back up and repaired it again, to which it reached 50% again, reverted to 0%, and continued in that loop for a minute or two. After a few of these loops, I get a new error that just says,

"An unknown error has occurred. Restart the EA app and try again, or reach out to our support team for help."

I have tried to restart AND recover the app and repair it again, but the same loop happens again. I've even tried restarting my computer, and nothing works. Now it is trying to update and will only reach 3% before looping. My game worked fine yesterday, I closed and re-opened my game multiple times and got no error message. Now I've just cancelled my update, but I'm scared to launch my game incase it breaks something. I don't have a photo of the original error that told me to repair my game, but I'll put in the photo of the second on. Any help is appreciated.
