EA Updater is strange right now

I always use EA Updater from the Start menu to update the EA app (I don't like automatic updates), but for two weeks now, the window appears like this, is this normal?

 

  • Hey GiardiniDiMarzo , I'm just coming back to this. Cheers for passing it on and such! It looks like it is just some debug info and shouldn't stop the client from functioning as normal. They also managed to fix it internally, and an update for this should go out in the near future.

    Could you please share a DxDiag report of your system and the EA app logs by any chance?

    Also, could it be that you have edited/manually configured your Windows install via any external tools by any chance?

    Strange that the forums aren't recognizing the .zip file—it seems to work fine on my end. 🤔 In that case, could you try uploading the EAUpdater.log from the following folder?

    %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\Logs

    Sorry, but I don't know why I can't even attach the log file. I add it, after a while of waiting for it to load (I don't have a fast connection unfortunately) it seems to have attached, then when I click Reply, it disappears from the message and is not displayed. Even yesterday with DxDiag, it took me 3 tries before it worked. If it's okay with you I'll send you the Google Drive link in DM. Let me know.
