[FIXED] "The app crashed unexpectedly" error in EA app since Feb. 7, 2024

Hi everyone,

Thank you for reaching out and letting us know about this frustrating issue. We truly understand how frustrating it can be when things aren't working as they should.

Please know that our teams are fully committed to resolving this problem as quickly as possible. We're currently putting all our efforts into finding a solution.

Workarounds:

    Having this issue too I assumed it was some CC I had but no . The sims 3 works fine but not sims 4

    This happened to me too and I spent 3 hours trying to fix it.  The fact that it is happening to all of us makes me think it is on their end.  I have tried a clean boot, uninstalling and reinstalling, making sure Windows is up to date, drivers are up to date, I cleared the cache.  Ran it as administrator.  Nothing works.  Please let us know what's going on!

    @Teypetts Same! I’ve been trying to sort it for HOURS now, I’ve done everything and still nothing. It’s so frustrating

    I'm experiencing the same problem, but while trying to fix it, I found that the app doesn't crash when I log into my other account. However, I'm certain that I haven't been banned or done anything wrong. So now I'm just very confused.

    Same getting same message and uninstalled reinstalled the windows app...is there any other way to play our games?

    I'm having the same issue and it started today.  Every time I open the app it crashes and tell me something went wrong and needs to send a crash report and restart.This is infuriating because we can't play any games from that app if we are not connected. I tried reinstalling, cleaning cash and all the other solutions I could find and nothing works. Please fix this EA!

    Same thing happening to me too. It's unbelievable how awful this entire EA app is. Nothing but trouble since they first launched it. Incredibly frustrating.
