Summarize your bug Cannot download ME:Andromeda. Keep getting the following error: "There was a slight hiccup and we couldn't finish installing Game Name Unavailable. Restart your PC and try again."
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to download ME:Andromeda?
What happens when the bug occurs? I keep getting the following error: "There was a slight hiccup and we couldn't finish installing Game Name Unavailable. Restart your PC and try again." Other games I own through EA have downloaded with minimal issues
What do you expect to see? I expect to see that the download occurring and the game downloading

I've tried:
-Clearing EA Desktop cache
-Restarting my computer
-Force closing the app and deleting all files in AppData folder
-Turning off antivirus and firewall and trying to install the game
-Uninstalling the EA Desktop app, restarting computer & reinstalling app through Xbox Live
-Uninstalling EA app, turning off antivirus and firewall and installing EA app
All these were no joy.
I haven't hit the computer with a hammer yet, but that's the only thing I haven't tried.
All my games still play and download through Origin with no issues. And yes, Origin is NOT running while I do all this.

-I'm unable to get an error report through EA Desktop. I can put in all the information in the window, but no matter what resolution I use on my screen, the submit button appears below the Windows bar. This makes submitting impossible. I have enclosed a screenshot as proof of the submission issue.

I'm enclosing a Razer diagnostic report for additional information.

Iam also getting same issue with Battlefield V only and nothing else. Did you find any fix. Please help.

when I try download any game which is from EA Play it shows this message.

I've tried changing UAC, reinstalling app and still nothing. In attachment you have what it shows.

Edit: Error just fixed itself. Idk

Summarize your bug EA Play games won't install even though I'm eligable
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Install Xbox app. Install EA desktop. Log in to both. Try to install a Game Pass app (EA Play app) like Battlefield 1.
What happens when the bug occurs? Installation size is shown as 0 bytes. Installation is cancelled with message: "Unable to install There was a slight hiccup and we couldn’t finish installing Battlefield 1. Restart your PC and try again."
What do you expect to see? A one click installation like every other gaming platform is capable of performing in 2021. Onyl EA Desktop is acting up.

I have tried re-starting my PC, re-installing the EA Desktop app, lowering the UAC settings, starting the EA Desktop app as administrator, nothing helped. This app is just broken. It should be a one click installation. It's 2021 and it is still a pain in the * to install EA games. I have no problem with other Game Pass games from Xbox/Microsoft. Only EA has to do their own * with their own app which is still in Beta state even 2 years after launch. What a failure.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? First way >>> Click install Download on the Xbox Game Pass App > EA desktop opens > Click Download > Fail Second way >>> Open EA desktop > search game > Click Download > Fail
What happens when the bug occurs? Nothing, fails to install without even starting download and sends the same error message.
What do you expect to see? I expect the game to download and install when I click the download button.

Unable to Install Game

I've tried installing both BF5 and BF1 in multiple locations and both give the same errors. Why is it always so difficult to play an EA play game with my game pass? It shouldn't be this complicated to install a game.
I've restarted multiple times, I've cleared cache, I've used the recovery feature, I've deleted and reinstalled the desktop app multiple times. I've tried different launch orders for the Xbox App/EA still fail and gives same error message. Is there not a way to just manually install the game files and then point EA desktop to their location since that app fails at even the basic installing function?

im having the same issue and havent found a fix anywhere. ea please figure out this problem soon

Same issue for me, except only ofr BF5, I could install BF1 with no issue but for some reason BF5 doesn't seem to work. I've tried every reccomendation on here. Honestly, the games are $5 on steam right now so EA should just give us keys because its ridiculous you can't even download the game you paid for on their platform.

Same issue, but for Crysis 3 and Titanfall 2.

It goes to the wrong directory and says 0.00 GB required to install. When you try downloading it says there was a slight hiccup and restart PC, which does nothing. Reinstalling the desktop app or doing a repair has been unsuccessful too. 

It has to be on their end, especially when the app reports a 0GB space required for some games, but not others.
