No internet connection - nothing works & have tried everything.

For the last few weeks, EA App for MAC has been unable to go online. I've still been able to play The Sims 4 and buy/download expansion packs. Since the update, I was been stuck at 2%. I deleted and redownloaded EA App and was still stuck at 2%. 

I've followed all of the trouble shooting and have managed to get to 14% (after changing DNS and restarting my MAC) but the fix lasts for 1 minute so the issue still isn't solved and I'm still stuck. It's not an internet issue as wifi is fine and the same issue exists when using a mobile hotspot, 

I've tried absolutely everything, all the suggestions in the forums and on the troubleshooting webpages.

    Nope, I still have no solution and can't play the game. Its really frustrating.

    I have exactly the same issue. Tried to uninstall, install, shut down firewall, connect with hotspot on phone, ... But there is nothing that works...

  • I have the same issue and no agent on EA help desk will do anything to help me. I have talked to three. They just forward me here. There's got to be something software wise that is happening for them to fix. I am incredibly frustrated.

    Happens the same to me. Just sent a report. It happened a few months ago and got resolved spontaneously, but now it's not working anymore. The update download gets stuck at 1% for a few seconds and then the error message appears.

    Same happening here. Had it a while now. Can not play any EA game. Tried everything, including chatting to them. Absolute waste of time. Sooooooo frustrating!!!!

    Was having all of these issues a few months ago and tried every fix the EA chat recommended and videos and nothing did it. As a last resort I tried unplugging and plugging my wifi back and it was the only thing that fixed it. May help you, though I will say I am now having the issues all over again so it's definitely caused on the EA side.

    Thanks for the suggestion! I've tried and am still having the same issue - I even tried when I went to a different country, and nothing has resolved. Hopefully, they fix it soon 😩
