how is this issue resolved? i have tried everything you suggest and suprise suprise the EA app still wont open! wow! instead of letting so many people lose their mind trying to solve an issue that doesnt exist with their PC but instead in your app and still not solving this issue for several months is absurd. you cant even play or install any new games when the app opens in every 1 to 100 tries. i am not going to "help you investigate" and change my windows setting and accounts because its on your end, take responsibility and fix your app that no one wanted! we were happy with origin.
I've tried all of their fixes and just got mine working by doing this. I went into the settings in the EA App and toggled off background services. Once I rebooted windows and restarted the app my error was gone. I also had an update that was frozen before that was fixed by this too and it successfully updated. Be aware that with this toggled off your games won't update when the app is closed but if it at least gets you in and working it's worth it
Hi, I am now having issue with this error code coming up todo with my account. I have never had a problem before today. What do I do?
I opened Task Manager and ended the EA background services process (I also ended all other opened EA processes just to start fresh).
Following one of the solutions recommended in this thread, I navigated to the EA app recovery file location (in my case, it was C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\EA) and double-clicked on it. This action prompted a cache clearance and then reopened the EA app. Afterward, I signed back into my account. This approach worked effectively for me this time.

THIS FROM JUST NOW!
@EA_Leeuw @EA_Shepard @EA_Pulsar since i updated to windows 11, I just cannot turn on EA app normally. it always starts as empty window without any UI and I have to restart app or even whole computer. New errors pop up every day: Error EC 1000, something went wrong, app encountered an unknown error... this is beyond ridiculous.

This just happened to me for the first time. I have never seen this error before.
I have been playing Dragon Age Inquisition for a few days now but today first I couldn't get into the EA app at all. All of a sudden it started working so I can look at things but now I cannot start my game. It just loads forever and I cannot start playing.

RESOLVED TEMPORARY OUTAGE - Post Marked as Solution for Visibility
Hi everyone,
We experienced a temporary outage affecting some EA app services, causing some users to receive the EC:10000 error when trying to launch or log in. This issue was resolved around 10:30 am GMT+1 this morning.
Thank you for reaching out in the thread.
Good afternoon, I had the same problem with an error this morning, now everything works fine and the game also starts normally, but there is one problem left:
When you close an application using the (x) button, the application usually collapses into a mini icon on the taskbar.
After that, I always closed the application by right-clicking on this icon and selecting exit application in the submenu. But at the moment this is not possible, because the submenu does not pop up and if you right-click on the icon 2 times in a row, the icon disappears and a window appears to log into your account and asks you to enter your username and password. Normally closing the application is not possible at the moment. I tried to restore the application using the standard method, but it did not help. Some kind of incomprehensible glitch in the application itself.Best regards, Yerlan.
EA app not working on Mac Computer. It has the latest update. What else needs to be done? I've watched all the YouTube videos and nothing works. VERY upset and not able to play any games.
@DavethulhuUnfortunately, running the EA App Recovery did not fix it for me. But once I saw there were some other standalone utilities there, I tried the Updater, which ran and updated the application, as well as the app updater. Then I ran the App Recovery again. Nothing worked.
What an absolute pile of garbage this is.
I never have these issues with Steam, or even Epic, Ubisoft, or Rockstar launchers. I will never buy anything from EA again. What a terrible company.Update: EA applications were blocked in my firewall, and for good reason. It's sneaky, slimy, spyware. I enabled their malware in the firewall and it opened right up.
I don't take back what I wrote before - the launcher is still garbage. At no point did the application even attempt to suggest a normal, human error. Like "sorry, we are unable to connect to our online service. Here are some common solutions: 1- check connection, 2- are we blocked by your firewall?"
Badly written. EA clearly hates their customers. A pack of screaming monkeys with crayons could write a better application.
