Sims 3 (64bit & metal) disappeared

So I just updated to the EA app on my Mac something I have wanted to do for a long time, but now the only version of the sims 3 that I have is the standard version and not the 64 bit & metal version. Since I have that version installed I can still play, but I'm thinking about getting a new MacBook soon and then I won't be able to play the sims 3 anymore. I hope that EA can add the 64 bit & metal version to the EA app as soon as possible for all the Mac players. 😭

    Hi @LukasFaltstrom,

    The Sims 3 version you're viewing is the 64-bit/Metal variant, as well as the non-64-bit/Metal variant. Whether you accessed it through Origin for Mac or the EA app for Mac, it's the same version, just presented differently.

    Could you share the model and build year of your current Mac, as well as the macOS version you're running?

    @LukasFaltstrom, alright, in that case, you should be fine since macOS Catalina is 64-bit and it looks like you can play the 64-bit version of the game via the EA app. 🙂
  • Issue is just what the title says. I’ve already talked to customer service and in order to get the sims 3 65bit version to load on my EA app I need to delete my cache. I’m not able to delete my cache as I don’t have the three lines on the top left corner of my app.

    Did anyone have this same issue and were able to fix it?

    @Syd_J133

    The Sims 3 64-bit, 65-bit isn't a thing 🙂

    Open EA App then click on Help > App Recovery in the menu bar, then Clear Cache.

  • I have tried contacting the EA Chat help where I have been told that my game has been updated to be the sims 3 64-bit version. I haven't seen the 64-bit game added to my account. I've tried deleting my cache and that didn't work. I'm now trying about 24 hours later to contact EA chat help but every time I try to select any topic the chat option doesn't come up for me.

    I had no problem with getting the 64-bit version on Origin. Ever since transitioning over to the EA app I have been having problems.

    I've tried deleting and redownloading the app and it didn't help. Why is the sims 3 64-bit version not showing up even though it was confirmed by two customer support people that they added the entitlements for the 64-bit versions for all the content I have for sims 3.

    whoops I meant 64 😛

    Thank you for the help with clearing my cache. I tried it and I'm still having problems with the 64 bit version not showing up. I've been told by two EA help customer support people that they added the entitlements to my game.

    @Syd_J133  Can you install and run this version of Sims 3?  I ask because I only see one version in my EA App game library, but it runs fine on my ARM Mac, which doesn't support 32-bit apps.  So the issue here may be the minimum requirements listed rather than anything else.

    I've tried running it after deleting the cache but it's still not working. I'm going to try uninstalling it and then redownloading it.

    Redownlading it fixed it. Thank you so so much.
