Hey so it's after the release of sims 4 high school expansion pack and my game won't download. I have plenty of space on the pc for it. I even bought a kit pack and that had trouble at first but when I tried again the kit downloaded just fine. I'm on the EA beta app using windows 10. I cleared the cache deleted all my mods and even restarted the computer. Yes the sims 4 is updated. I'm not very smart when it comes to computers so any help is greatly appreciated. This computer is solely used to play this game so I am at a lost of whats going on. Thanks!
@kamyadabest123 Please use Origin instead, at least to download the pack. Then you can go back to using the EA App.
If you get an error when opening Origin, open the Task Manager and kill the EABackgroundService.exe, or just restart your computer.

im having the same problem on origin it doesnt even say i purchased it
Same is happening to me . It says it's unowned but when I click on it it says it's already in my library . It's so frustrating. I have a pack and I can't even play it as it won't give me an install option
- @patrickrto39 that's what origin says too, but I preordered on the EA app, and it says it's in my collection, but origin says I didn't buy it.
has anyone gotten a response as to what to do?? I preordered as well and in origin it says I own the pack but dont even have option to download except for in map view but then I click on download and thats when it says I already own it. So frustrated ugh!!
- @puzzlezaddict I went into my origin and it basically says I didn't buy it, but in the EA app it shows that it's in my collection ready for download.
- @missymeg101 EA customer service said to do a clean REBOOT! which did not work at all and I even uninstalled the EA app and reinstalled it and it's still saying there's an error with downloading my game which is beyond me at this point. It's a day later and still can't download my game.
Same boat. Only I keep getting emails saying there’s an issue with my payment method, which is weird because why would you preorder something ahead of time only for the funds to not get taken until a few days right before the release date? Very frustrating, but trying my best to stay patient and kind with EA customer support regardless. I also read that there’s a 24-36 hour processing time for certain purchases, so I’m still hoping this is a freak mistake and I’ll be able to download what I thought I paid for soon.
Update: Finally got ahold of an EA Advisor via chat. I was told that this is a common, global issue that the sims team and EA are aware of. I think there will be a fix soon. Disappointing, but I’m relieved to know I probably won’t have to spend anymore money. Bummer. I was so looking forward to playing with the new content.
