Sims 4 is suddenly uninstalled

@jesstaylor1112  Short term, try downloading Sims 4 to the same location as where the program files are now.  The EA App may simply verify the data and finalize the install rather than downloading everything again.

If this happens again, it's probably related to your antivirus.  Make sure you've set exceptions for TS4_x64.exe and EADesktop.exe.

This has been happening to me too! The first time was last week, then this week I tried to open my game and it was gone again so I had to redownload it again. Pretty annoying :')

Same with Sims 4, but on PC and through the EA app (since Origin forcibly shut itself down mid-game to make me download EA instead). Go to play the game, and it decides it needs to "update", which inevitably means "redownload the entire game and all its expansions". Which, for Sims 4, is about 10g just for the two or three I have.

So. ....What the hell?

Summarize your bug When ever I start EA App and go to my library it shows my games as not been installed and if I click for example The Sims 4 ( I have almost all expansion packs etc.) it says I need to install all of them. Over 50GB. But I have them all already installed. I need to use App Recovery to make EA App to recognize I have my games already installed. This has been happening maybe a week now, every time when I restart EA App.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Start EA App and try to play The Sims 4.
What happens when the bug occurs? I start EA App and go to my library it shows my games as not been installed and if I click for example The Sims 4 ( I have almost all expansion packs etc.) it says I need to install all of them. But I have them all already installed.
What do you expect to see? EA App recognizing the games installed.

EA App doesn't recognize games installed.

All my Sims4 packs are suddenly deinstalled in the EA App, eventhough they still exist on my PC - when I try to open the game this way EA tells my this is not possibly and the title was propably installed by another user, which is not the case. What is happening and how can I fix this?

Every time I open the EA app I have to re-download the Sims 4 and ALL expansion/stuff packs. This takes HOURS. I have to wait for it all to download before I can play and by the time this happens I can't be bothered to even play. But if I close it then I go back another day and have to start the process all over again. 

Anyone else having this problem? How do I fix it?

every time I turn on my pc and have to login to ea, it will not show sims 4 and all the dlc in the library. I have to exit multiple times and go back in. thank goodness it eventually shows again but I shouldn't have to do this. it took about 6 times of restarting/ exiting the app to show my full library. it started doing this for me after the latest patch update. is this a common occurrence among others? if so, is there any word on when it'll be fixed? I've spent way too much money on all the packs for it to be gone one day.

@anxiouspancakee  Please set the EA App to NOT start with Windows; the option should be under Settings > Application.  Then restart your computer and test again.

When you quit the EA App, if you're not shutting down your computer, please also go into the Task Manager and kill the EABackgroundProcess, which can still be running after the App closes.
