@Alistu You’re a braver person than I. I haven’t powered down my laptop in about a week now, fearful that it’ll once again be unavailable.

So the latest EA App update has solved this for me. It's been 2 or 3 days since I updated (the app, not the game) and it's opened properly every time.

Scratch that. It worked for 3 days and now the message is back. 😬 Back to killing the background service task every day.

@Jes2GSame happen to me today. First time seeing this message highlight in yellow. Killing background sevice via taskmanager makes the game load.
I had access for one night after updating too and haven’t been able to play since it’s pissing me off I’ve cleared cache and everything else that may be the problem but it’s EA.
- @TM_Sin Here's So what I did was close out of the app entirely and then go into program files/Electronic Arts and do the EAUpdater executable. Here's a link I found that details it with pics too. Pretty sad EA and it's admins/community people can't even explain this in any forum I've visited before trying this on my own.

I noticed in my task manager that the EABackgroundServices was "Running" even though I have the app settings to not run at startup and have it disabled within the Windows startup apps. If you open up Microsoft services (Win+R, type "services.msc") and scroll down to EABackgroundServices it might say that the service is "Stopping". I have tried setting the service to startup only manually but the fantastic EA software bypasses that and starts itself up when I turn on my computer, then realizes that it shouldn't be running and tries to stop itself and gets stuck.
Ultimately what I'm saying is that to fix this you have to 1: open your task manager 2: scroll down, select EABackgroundServices, and "End Task" and then 3: Open the EA application which will relaunch the background services properlyAs @jasonsno says. The issue is that background service stops working properly and only EA can do a permanent fix.
All we can do is to end that service in task manager whenever it happens and hope EA one day fixes this mess of a launcher.
thanks! this is the only thing that worked for me
