Tired

I have tried since 10 am to figure out how to work this. It is now 5pm. I download cottage living with my already downloaded island and cats and dogs. When I went into the game island cats/dogs said they were uninstalled and cottage living was ready. I got to EA and steam and both say they are installed. I have researched so many things trying to get all packs working at the same time. After seeing that my other packs deleted all of my work. I am so lost and would like feedback but also a helper to chat with. Thanks
