Does anyone work in EA support anymore?

I have an email address thats supposedly been “deactivated” since I haven’t played an ea game on my Xbox for years but the ea support website has no option to chat with anyone. Every time I “create a case” it by default goes to paused and no one gets back to me. It’s as if no one actually works in support. Also due to the fact that only one Xbox gamer tag can be attached to an ea account, my only option would be to make a new Xbox gamer tag and that’s not going to happen. Any one on here have a work around or maybe a way to actually get ahold of someone at EA?

i got in contact but then i cant even read the messages on the case i opened, theyre intentionally making it difficult for their community to contact them which is ironic considering theyre using labs to communicate with their playerbase

I got in contact with them a couple of times, but I guess that was just lucky. I have two open active cases, and I can't resume either one because EA Support is refusing to do their job by making it impossible to get the help you actually need.

    Hey travis_beery,

I'm sorry to hear you've been having trouble contacting EA Help Support. If you're not getting the chat option when trying to contact them, please try selecting "EA Account" as a product and "I need help updating my EA account" as a subject.

How to chat with EA Help

    1. Log in to your EA Account.
    2. Select the topic that best describes your issue. If an advisor can help, a contact option will be available under your help topic.
    3. Select Chat with us or Start chat.
    4. Fill in the contact form with your:
      • first name
      • last name
      • e-mail
      • platform
      • subject (a short description of your issue)
      • attachments (e.g. screenshots, documents, links).
    5. Select Send.
    6. A chat window will open when you’re transferred to an advisor.

After you contact us, we’ll create a case for you. You can view it and keep track of updates in My Cases. You’ll be notified of changes to your case via email.

Sounds nice in theory. You start the chat then get put in a 4 hour queue. Then when someone finally comes by, the person isn’t notified of this and the agent leaves the chat, because who waits in front of their phone for 4 hours staring at an empty chat screen? This has been my experience all weekend.

  • I am experiencing exactly all that you have been.  I have an email that's been permanently deleted by Microsoft because its been hacked.  It happens to be my email on my EA Account, so there's no way to get back into it to reactivate my account.  I've started 3 Cases with the info required, 1) my email, 2) my PlayStation online ID, & 3) a History of my Transaction ID's with EA thru my PlayStation account dating back to 2018.  All the info they request to have ready, but after hours and hours and hours of waiting sometime in the middle of the night they email me and say, "Hey it seems like your not there, We're going to close this case"  What the Hell?  I can't sit in front of my computer and wait 7-13 hours for someone to come into a chat bubble.  I've provided all relevant info, just fix it.

This is the worst customer support I’ve ever dealt with. Shameful. You have many people trying to play games they paid money for, but they are unable to access due to the current horrific account linking policy. Even if it was an oversight- fix it. Remove all deactivated accounts to allow players to connect their new account so that they can play the games they paid for. If I wish to purchase and play a game in the future (if I can ever unlink the deactivated account), how can I trust a company with service like this? I can’t. Nobody can.
