Old email EA account, cannot get into account as cannot do 2 step verification

Hi, I have tried to reaccess my other account Ive had since i was a kid which is linked to my dads old email that he hasnt had access to in years and cant because despite knowing the password It wants me to put in a code sent to an email that no longer exists. Is there anyway i can get into this account or is it a lost cause? (I'd hope I can as alot of money has been spent on it over the years)
