Urgent Account Access Issue – Unable to Verify Login

Hello EA Support,

I’m reaching out because I’m extremely frustrated and honestly upset about an issue I’ve been trying to resolve for quite some time now.

I’ve had my EA account since July 4, 2018, and it’s very important to me. Unfortunately, I no longer have access to the email address associated with the account, which has made it impossible for me to complete the verification process when trying to log in on my new console.

I want to emphasize that I have made multiple attempts to recover my account through your support system. Each time, I’ve provided as much information as possible, including proof of purchases I’ve made through my system, in hopes of verifying that I am the rightful owner. Despite this, I haven’t been able to regain access.

Additionally, the PlayStation account linked to my EA account has never changed. It has remained consistent the entire time, which makes this situation even more confusing. I’ve also been told during the process that I should receive a pop-up notification on my system to verify my login—but that pop-up never appears, no matter how many times I try.

At this point, I feel stuck. I’ve followed all the steps, provided proof, and still haven’t been able to resolve this issue. It’s incredibly discouraging, especially considering how long I’ve had this account and the time and money I’ve invested into it.

I’m asking for your help in resolving this situation as soon as possible. Please let me know if there’s anything else I can provide to verify my identity and regain access to my account.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I truly hope this can be resolved soon.

Sincerely,

Talik Thomas

  • I’ve been trying to get back into my account for weeks now This is getting annoying it’s like there is no type of assistance when it comes to updating your information when you no longer have access to old emails and phone numbers

  • No response from no one I’m just trying to update my email address because the one linked to my account I don’t have anymore it was from when I was a kid and now I can’t play anything except for ufc which for some reason lets me play it no problem everything else asks to send a verification code to ether my old phone number or email address I’ve had to make this account just so I could seek help on the forums

    Hi LattoNevaCared,

I'm very sorry, but it's not possible to have account details updated here. If you're not able to get into the account to change the email address yourself, you'll need to speak with EA Help for assistance.  If you scroll to the bottom of the guide below, you should be able to contact EA Help by using the "Contact Us" button.

    Update EA Account email settings

Please keep in mind, though, that EA Help will need to verify that you are the account owner before they can make any changes, so they will ask you a number of security questions. It might be worthwhile ensuring that you have as much information about the account to hand as possible before contacting them.

Edit: I have merged three posts together.

It sounds like you're not passing their security questions in that case. Unfortunately, they'll only be able to amend the account details after you've successfully verified that you are the account owner. All I can really suggest, since this is a security protocol at EA, is to keep trying and answering their questions as accurately as possible.

Understandable and I’ve tried multiple times provided proof of purchases and everything so I’m confused as to how that’s not enough to prove it’s my account

Hi, sorry to hear you’re dealing with this. Based on EA Help, you should be able to use the following information as proof:

    • The email address you used to make your EA Account.
    • Any usernames or console IDs (e.g. Xbox Live Gamertags or PlayStation™Network Online IDs) connected to your EA Account.
    • Any invoice numbers from games you’ve bought from our store or product codes for your games.
    • If you’re trying to get back into a mobile game, have your mobile game’s ID ready.

Did the advisor explain why that wasn’t sufficient, or let you know what else they still needed from you?

As this is an account-related issue, it would still need to be handled by the support team, so I do think that’s something worth asking them directly.

I’ve provided all of that information and more and no they did not tell me what else they needed I’m at the point where i don’t even care about my progress anymore I’m getting to the point I just want to start fresh because no matter how much proof I provide it’s like it’s never enough

Thanks for the reply. I’m sorry to hear it’s got to that point. Just wanted to check, did you ask them what else they still needed from you but not get an answer? And how many advisors have you chatted with so far?
