Hi @0137f4ee4ac19061 @Bojuka_Bog Can we try the following and check if this continues?
- Verify you are signed into the Steam and EA accounts that have been linked with each other, versus other accounts you may have.
- EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
- Verify the game in your Steam library
- Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
- Trying closing other Anti-Cheats and overlays that may be running
what is this ? i cant play
FIXED!
I did two things and now it is fixed.
1) in EA App go to Top left 3 lines, click help - App recovery - clear cache.
2) in Steam, right click Wild Hearts, properties, local files, verify game files
Same issue. I have EA Play Pro, but also own the game on steam. The game cannot launch via Steam, only via EA App. I want to play via Steam, not EA Play Pro but the EA App doesn't recognize that the game is owned by Steam. Not working for me, still saying it is purchased by another account.
How to fix? Tried all steps, not working...

@DeadlyDonut90 This is an account mixup error, you're logging into the EA app using an account that's not linked to your Steam.
If you log out then go to EA.com you can log in with a Steam option.
You can then go to https://myaccount.ea.com/cp-ui/aboutme to see which EA account is actually linked to that steam one, and from here you can make any changes needed to get back into that EA account on the EA app. I do log in with my linked account, it is still not working.

@DeadlyDonut90 Indeed, apologies for the poor read on my part on that one, checking now you do appear to be logging into your linked account.
What i did notice is that fixing this should be relatively trivial, can you reset your EA account password then try again? Not working.

I'm sorry to hear that. You mention taking "all steps" before, can you list them?
Also if I'm reading this right, you have some other EA games from Steam, are these working normally?
Can I check you've reinstalled already, and if you've gone to C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\KoeiTecmo\WILD HEARTS and wiped the system save data?
Edit: we are looking into this, if you're still having the issue, can you generate an error report and drop the ID in this thread?
https://help.ea.com/en-gb/help/ea/ea-app/run-ea-error-report/ I tried everything, this sucks so hard.
I just want to play with my friends.
Generated my ID:

No response? No status update?
Guess its a refund then.

No substantial update, sorry. We've referred the report IDs to the studio/included in the appropriate ticket, but I don't have anything else to share at this time.
Well, talked to the support, they told me its a common issue and i just need to wait for a fix.
Hi @EA_David ,
I start thinking this has something to do with some Windows update.
I have not played for some weeks on my PC due to work, and the first game I wanted to play after that time was Wild Hearts. It would just not launch, and I tried everything I could, It was always this 0xc0000409 error that you can only find in the dxdiag log or in the event viewer of windows. I then tried some other games, and they worked fine, but when I installed Hogwarts legacy it had the exact same problem as Wild Hears and Battlefield 2042 too it just does not launch without an error and I could find 0xc0000409 in the event viewer.
So I completely wiped my drive and installed win10 (had win11 previously) from scratch via a USB stick installed steam, EA App, Wild Hearts and Hogwarts legacy and both games run now just fine. Not an elegant way to fix this, but at least I can play now (:That's not my issue, every other game i have is working fine.
It is only Wild Hearts that is not connecting, it still says i did install it on different account than i purchased it on.
It's a weird bug with Ea and Steam, it does not connect properly.
Yeah I'm in the same situation. I was able to get around it by using the origin app but today it forces me to use the ea app.
