Split fiction crashing on Crashing n Xbox Series X

Hey!

Anyone else unable to play? My boyfriend bought a series x last night, I purchased the game as a gift & downloaded the gift code to his Xbox account, downloaded then booted up the game & wont even get past the first loading page after selecting new game in local play.

Ive been trying since 6pm yesterday. I’ve tried to clear cache, uninstall/reinstalled (three times), hard reset the Xbox, use my hotspot instead of wifi & NOTHING is working.

Hey, I just loaded it on the same console and had no issues.

When the game was downloaded, was it through the library or directly from within the store? The code shouldn't matter unless it was game-sharing. Xbox entitlements recognize full games vs content and this would be the full game or pass game.

  • Thanks for your response! It was from the library, it was originally redeemed on an Xbox One but we learned that wouldn’t work so we bought the X same day. When I reinstalled the other times it was through the store.

Sunnysaiyan Thanks. When you went through the steps you mentioned, did you also delete the saved data under manage games?

Do you happen to have another profile or a add a guest profile that can log in as well?

I looked for any active issues on Xbox, and there's a few in game but not what you are describing. I even redownloaded it just to test it, but it launches so it may be more local.

  • EA_Shepardyeah idk we have decent internet too & only other devices connected currently are our phones. I did delete the save data as well. I just tried direct internet connection & logging in through my profile instead of my boyfriends but same issue.

Going to try another full hard reset on console & see what happens when reinstalled, again lol. Thanks for your replies!
