Also, have you checked if the account where you're resetting the password is linked to your console account?
The password resets as it should.
Yes. It is the same username I’m changing the password to.

If you go to your to the Connections tab in your EA Account settings portal, do you see the PlayStation account linked to your EA account?

It seems that the EA account is disabled. Re-setting the password should help re-enabling the account. As this doesn't seem to be working when you reset the password, please contact EA Help Support so they can take a look at your account and assist you further.
