Player career crashes after game on 30 June [UPDATE]

I started a player career by creating a new one, and I had no issues until the last match of the group stage in the European Championship for national teams. Whether I play the match or simulate it, once I press 'Continue' after the experience points are assigned, the game crashes and closes automatically when it tries to return to the main career page.

I have tried restarting my laptop multiple times and also used the 'Repair' function from the EA app, but it still did not work.

The match after which the game crashes is on June 30th, which is the end of the season, even though—technically—the knockout stage of the European Championship should follow.

I tried also to change team before 30 of June, but even advancing in the new season it just makes me select the option to change team, but I can not select any of them. Then I have to exit the game by pressing windows key and force shut down.
