Yup. I honestly feel just a tiny bit sorry for the EA moderators who must feel like they have a gun to there head as they turn to all of us (the mutinous, dissatisfied customers/users) with the same tired BS line that it’s all the fault of our ISP or home network. Because they have to know that’s just not a credible response when such an overwhelming number of people are complaining and countless others just walk away. I mean think about it, the only reason they are going to such lengths to promote Champions (lowering the bar to entry and then incentivizing games played) is that it MUST be dying. I mean, if it were getting decent traffic they wouldn’t even bother with all this promotion—they’d leave it be and save themselves the headache of congesting their servers.
No, this all smells like EA struggling to keep a critical mass of users engaged in order to provide folks with regular H2H matches. They seem to be worried about UT hitting a death spiral with the irony of course being that they wouldn’t have a problem with users staying engaged if they just FIXED the lag issue so that the game was actually fun/fair to play, lol!
