I agree to the first suggestion. Even if almost every player has a primary position, they should not be down rated and have less effective performance if they are put in a position that they can play. A CDM who can play CM, should be fully effective in CM position. Just like Declan Rice for example, who can play as a CDM and also a CM.
In modern football many players have adapted to more than one roles and they are effective in all of them, even though they have a primary position.
