Did you start seeing this error after you obtained a new player ?

Is it only in Ultimate team you receive this error ?

You can start by deleting your active squad, make a new squad and remove some of the news players you got for testing purposes.

You can try to perform a console power cycle:

• Press and hold the [Xbox] button on the front of the console for 10 seconds.
• Unplug the console's power cable and wait for at least 10 seconds as this resets the power supply.
• Plug the power cable back in and turn the console back on by pressing the [Xbox] button again

I downloaded the game play one online friendly with a friend ( not ultimate team) after that one game I started to get that error whenever I want to play online for seasons, ultimate team and game online friendly.

If yourself and your friend cannot be paired into an online match, there could be some issues regarding squad updates.

Can you both try the following:

1. Delete your personal settings (this will only reset your game settings). Go to the main menu > settings > Profile > Delete. Here you delete your personal settings, nothing else.
2. Reset your Squads - Go to the main menu > settings > Edit teams > Click Reset all squads. After that, download the latest squad updates.

You both play on Xbox Series, right ? If he is on a different platform, turn on crossplay on the console and in the game.
