This sums it up perfectly. The only way to get results in this game is to play it in the least football-ish way possible, meaning not as a teamsport. The moment you gain control of the ball, best thing to do is to start running, changing directions as fast as possible while pulling your right stick like a maniac, producing as much dumb looking skill moves as possible, and hoping that your opponent is trying to stop you manually instead of letting the AI do it's job. Because when you try to play football, whether it is to clear the ball from your defensive zone, or pass your way out of it as a team, or engage on an opponent to steal the ball, you lose.
It has come to a point that I can hardly watch real games anymore because I'm projecting this nonsense to the real world
