Bravo sir, for taking the time - as I have, many years over and over again on these forums. Every single point you made is absolutely valid. These developers are truly out to lunch when it comes to creating a balanced and skill rewarding experience on both sides of the ball. Too often I make a perfect read and slide in between two attacking players to intercept a ball and it just bounces off my guy right into the running path of a 3rd attacker and then it's a through ball up the middle and a goal before I can blink. The game simply refuses to reward smart movement and positional awareness. I could go on and on but do they actually care? They never make any qualitative changes just more FUT updates to keep the masses coming back. It's a shame that there hasn't been a competitor in the football sphere since PES fell apart. I've been playing this series religiously since Road to the World Cup '98. The last several years this game has truly hit rock bottom in terms of actually simulating the great game of football. So disappointing, year after year they promise us these amazing changes and by the 1st or 2nd patch, the game is reduced to the same old recycled, frustrating gameplay.
