There are two ways to get good cards.
- You are FC influencer promoting the game on social media
- You spend a lot of money
That's it.
Not a lot to add to that, spot on.
There is a 3. As. Mate of mine literally does nothing different then me he is no influencer and does not spend anymore than I would but still get all the crazy cards I think ea just choses who gets it. He had great cards from when he started ended up with a ton of good cards with made him able to do good SBCs where as I got nothing only low level bad cards so I could do nothing he now has over a 1000 cars whereas I never get over the 300. I mean I could but then I can never so any SBCs this is definitely no luck if it was luck I would get some good packs once in a while.
He is probably spending a lot of money but he just doesn't tell you. The only other way would be if he plays 10 times more than you every week.
