I’m not able to confirm exactly what’s causing this on your setup, but since you’re on PC and the freeze occurs at the same point (match intro), it may be related to a corrupted or recent save file. One thing that’s worth trying:
Quick workaround to test:
- Go to your FC save folder (C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\EA SPORTS FC 26).
- Make a backup copy of all your save files first (just copy them somewhere safe).
- In that folder, you should see multiple saves numbered in order.
- Delete the most recent save file (the highest number).
- Launch the game and load your career again.
This will roll your progress back slightly, but it can sometimes help skip past the point where the crash is happening.
If that doesn’t change anything, I’d also recommend going through the usual PC checks (GPU driver update, Windows update, lowering settings) just to rule out anything else.
