Constant EA FC Online Disconnects – NOT an ISP Issue

I’m facing constant mid-match disconnections in EA SPORTS FC online modes (Seasons/UT/CO-OP/Friendlies), very often at half-time and sometimes randomly. Error says I’m disconnected from EA servers, but my internet remains fully active.

Platform: PS5
This has happened across multiple titles (EA FC 24 and EA FC 26). 

Before posting here, I have exhaustively ruled out local/network issues. I have tested wired Ethernet and Wi-Fi with the same result, multiple DNS providers including ISP default, Google, Cloudflare, Quad9 and OpenDNS, NAT Type always shows Type 2, UPnP enabled, DMZ configured, and a stable connection with no issues in other online games such as COD and GTA. I have also optimized router settings specifically for EA FC requirements.

This issue is exclusive to EA FC and persists despite everything above, so it cannot reasonably be blamed on my ISP or home network. The disconnects frequently happen during match state changes, especially at half-time, which suggests a session-handling problem.

Is anyone else experiencing the same pattern? If so, please reply so we can establish whether this is a wider EA FC server issue.

    Yeah, same for me on ps5 . This has been happening since thunderstruck for me and it's very annoying as it only happens in fc 26.

    Exact same for me. I put my Raspberry Pi in the middle to filter connection througn it to diagnose what causes this and in every single disconnect, the FIN request(for session termination) was being sent from the server side. It is not an ISP issue. Something broke 4 weeks ago or maybe a bug that sends session termination request and the game complies and closes the connection.

    EXACTLY! Tried literally every possible setup/environment to confirm this is an EA issue. Whenever I try to search for the cause online they always blame the ISP! EA has no accountability whatsoever. No idea, If and when this will be fixed. They probably even don't know about it. The previous editions used to have a in-game complaint system where we could mass report if we were facing any server issues and they would fix it soon. It has been 2 months but I have not seen an acknowledgement let alone the fix to this issue! Looks like money wasted on this stupid game...

  • There can't be many companies out there that blame their customers for their own failures more than EA. 

    Also, why would there need to be an active connection for playing vs the CPU? How does that make sense? Literally can't even play against bots.

  • I’m getting disconnects all the time for the last 6 days saying Check my home connection even tho I’m using wired and my internet is fine. Let’s me in for about 5-10 mins then randomly it kicks me out
