Constant input lag on FC26 despite perfect fiber connection
Hi,
I’ve been struggling with a constant input delay and heavy gameplay on FC 26, even though my connection is perfect — fiber (ping always less than 10 ms, EA Score connexion always 95/100 or more), PS5 connected via Ethernet, all EA ports open and UPnP enabled. My screen is also great (i have a Gigabyte M28U).
This issue actually started mid-season on FIFA 23, and it’s been the same ever since. From FIFA 14 to FIFA 23, I never had to touch my network settings — gameplay was always smooth and responsive.
Since then, I’ve tried everything:
- New PS5 and new Freebox (fiber router) → new public IP
- New router (Cudy AX3000) configured correctly
- Multiple EA and PSN accounts tested → same issue every time
Still, nothing changes. The game becomes smooth for a day or two, then goes back to being delayed and sluggish for no reason.
What makes this even stranger is that my neighbors in the same building, using the same ISP (Free), have zero problems on FC 26.
Please, could someone at EA check if there’s any server assignment, routing problem, or account-side limitation affecting my connection?
I’ve been playing FIFA/FC for over 10 years, and this is the first time the game feels permanently handicapped despite a flawless setup.
