Controller Delay in Online Matches
Hey guys,
As shown in the attached video, I’m experiencing noticeable controller input delay and I can’t figure out how to fix it.
Laptop specs:
- i7-7700HQ
- 16GB RAM
- GTX 1060 6GB
I can reach around 90 FPS, but I lock the game to 60 because higher FPS actually makes the delay worse.
Very rarely, the controller actually works properly, but most of the time the delay comes back — especially after corners, free kicks, or goal kicks.
Things I’ve tried so far:
- Ultimate Performance power plan
- Minimum & maximum processor state set to 100%
- Bluetooth controller
- Wired controller
- V-Sync on / off
- G-Sync on / off
- Render scale from 50 to 85
- Fullscreen / Borderless / Windowed
- Monitor refresh rate set to 120 / 60Hz
- All settings on Low / Off
- Crowd on Medium (EA workaround)
- Dynamic resolution scaling on / off
- Cutscenes at full / half refresh rate
- Fresh Windows 10 install
- Fresh Windows 11 install
- NVIDIA Control Panel performance settings
- New GPU driver
- Older GPU driver
- Game installed on SSD
- Game installed on HDD
Nothing has helped so far.
If anyone has experienced this or knows a possible fix, I’d really appreciate the help.
