EA App keeps terminating since new update on FC 26
Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with EA SPORTS FC 26 on PC through Steam.
Since yesterday:
Every time I try to connect to an online opponent, the game fails to connect and then closes with this message:
“FC 26 is shutting down. This is a result of the EA App being terminated.”
I have already tried the following:
Restarted PC several times
Cleared EA App cache
Ran EA App as administrator
Ran Steam as administrator
Verified game files on Steam
Fully reinstalled FC 26 through Steam
Reinstalled/checked EA Anti-Cheat
Checked Task Manager — CPU, RAM and disk usage all look normal
Checked Event Viewer, but I could not find any obvious EA App or FC 26 crash log
Disabled overlays/background apps where possible
Tried clean boot / disabling startup services
The issue is still happening. It mainly happens during matchmaking/connecting to an online opponent. The EA App appears to be running, but FC 26 still says the EA App was terminated.
Does anyone know what else I can try, or is this a known EA App / EA Anti-Cheat issue with FC 26 on PC?
My only other option is uninstalling my antivirus Norton. and seeing how it goes.

Yo, I think i just saw the solution. Windows> Services>Find EA anticheat and EA Background services> properties>put them on automatic/automatic slow start test them out until it no longer crashes. For some reason last 2 weeks my services were on disabled and manual. i just put both on automatic and gonna test.
