Friends appearing offline in Co-op mode despite being visible in EA Connect.fc26

Hello, me and my friend play fc 26.

We can see each other in EA Connect and send friend requests without any issues. I can even invite him to my lobby. But when I go to Co-op and select “Invite Friends,” he doesn’t appear as online. We checked everything—cross-play is enabled, his EA account is properly linked, and another friend of mine has the exact same issue with him. He shows up in EA Connect but not in the in-game Co-op friends list. We are trying to play cross-platform: I’m on PC and he’s on PS5.

It was working fine before. However, one day my friend logged into FC 26 on his laptop using the same EA account. Ever since then, this issue has started occurring.

Sorry to hear that you've been running into issues VISION1877.

That your friend has issues with another friend that you don't have would point to the issue being with your friend.

Have they tried any connection troubleshooting steps like these?

It's worth having them test it on a different network to see if they have the same issue there.

i had a chat with ea advisor and they are also not understanding the problem. i did all the processes they said troubleshooting, clear cache, cross-play disable enable, sign out from everywhere. i am telling you the main problem with the screenshots which i am not able to provide the ea advisor in chat because ea system doesn't allow it.
In EA Connect (opened with R2), my friend appears online and I can even invite him to my party. However, when I go to Online Friendlies or Co-op Seasons and select Invite Friends, his EA ID does not appear in the list at all. To make sure the issue wasn’t on my PC, I asked another friend who also plays on PC to check, and he is experiencing the exact same problem. My PS5 friend appears online in EA Connect, but his EA ID does not show up in the Online Friendlies or Co-op Seasons invite list on either of our PCs. It seems the issue is specific to his EA account or its cross-platform synchronization.
I am also attaching three screenshots. They show that my friend is online in EA Connect at the same time, but when I open the Invite Friends list in Online Friendlies and Co-op Seasons, his EA ID does not appear there.
please help me if you can talk to the ea team.

Something like this, where only a certain user is not showing up is unlikely to be game related VISION1877 and most likely to be network or ISP issues on one or the other end.

Your friend will need to troubleshoot from his side.

yes he already did actually he plays fc26 on his ps5 and a month before he downloaded the fc26 on his laptop and he logged in with the same account he is playing on ps5 and he played a single match from his laptop with me after that he uninstalled the game from his laptop and continues to play on his ps5 but the next day when we were ready to play then i noticed that in my co op season there is a record of that one match he played from laptop and from that day this issue still remains.

is there any way his fc26 data which he played on his laptop can be erased.

Your friend would be the one who needs to address this VISION1877 as we cannot discuss anyone else's account with anyone but the verified account owner.
