Game glitches

Last week i was playing squad battles where i reached elite 3/gold 1, then i left it there. Yesterday i logged in and saw that i was on gold 3 now, so i quickly played couple games to reach gold 2 and i was annoyed because i do remember making it to elite 3. Now this morning my rewards i got were for gold 3???????? I am really annoyed with this weird glitch. This is in Ultimate Team squad battles.
