Game is still crashing after so many updates.
Hello, im having a problem which apparently many people stumbled upon, but there is no fix at all. I'm sure its not because of some outdated drivers or bad pc since this problem doesn't exist on other games that with even higher requirements. I've tried everything that was supposed to help, but nothing worked.
Usually it happens while playing the ultimate team, the game works perfectly on any settings, even the best one (im playing on high settings now, because of this problem, I thought it was because of the pc), then there is a sudden fps drop, to like 15, and it either fixes itself or crashes completely. Second scenario is when you play, everything seems to be fine, and then just a complete freeze, and whats more the only way to get out of it is to shut down the pc with the power button, because it even brakes the ctrl+alt+delete option.
Also it is crazy annoying, i've lost a lot of the games which i was winning, but the game crashed.
Excellent, thank you. Some troubleshooting steps:
1. Remove ALL GPU overclocks. If using:
- MSI Afterburner
- ASUS GPU Tweak
- EVGA Precision
- AMD Adrenalin tuning
Reset everything to stock.
Also disable:
- undervolt
- memory OC
2. Clean reinstall GPU drivers. Download:
- DDU
- latest GPU driver directly from NVIDIA/AMD
Then:
- Disconnect internet
- Boot Safe Mode
- Run DDU
- Select:
- Clean and restart
- Install fresh GPU driver
- Install DRIVER ONLY if NVIDIA
- avoid GeForce Experience
Do NOT use Windows Update drivers.
3. Repair Windows corruption. Open Admin Command Prompt and run: sfc /scannow
Then: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Then reboot.
Additional items:
- Update your Network Drivers from your laptop/motherboard vendor
- Stop using Insider/Preview Windows build
Let us know how you get on with these steps and post a newly generated Dxdiag if issues persist. Thank you. EA_Barry.
