High latency in Spain – traffic routed via US instead of EU (Vodafone)

Hello,I’m playing EA SPORTS FC™ 26 on PC from Spain (Vodafone ISP, 5G WiFi) and experiencing consistently high latency (60-70+ ms average, up to 100-110 ms) in competitive modes like Rivals and Champions. My EA Connection Quality score is stuck at 59/100 due to this ping, despite excellent packet loss (0%) and jitter (good). Interestingly, Rush mode in Clubs gives ~80-90 ms (rated "good"), and other games like CS2/Fortnite have <20-30 ms ping on the same connection.

This issue is not isolated to me — I've read multiple reports from other European players in Germany (especially Telekom users), Portugal, Spain, and even Scandinavia/Netherlands/France experiencing the exact same transatlantic routing to Ashburn, Virginia (USA), causing unnecessary high ping and spikes in EA FC 26.I’ve run multiple traceroutes to key EA endpoints and confirmed that traffic to primary servers (159.153.71.17 – ssx.gos.ea.com / easo.ea.com / ncaa.gos.ea.com) is being routed inefficiently through the United States (Ashburn/IAD, Virginia) instead of staying in Europe (e.g., Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Madrid, or London).
