Okay so after further playing/testing, it's not just a controller issue. For example when the game loses connection to the controller I can't pause the game with my keyboard either. Which means all inputs into the game freezes, not just controller inputs. It's across all game modes, offline and online and happens in the menus as well. It's literally unplayable like this. Please escalate this issue to the dev team, EA_Darko
TRUE! and sometimes i hear a sound of "connectivity" while playing the game and suddenly the screen flashes and the input turns to be more responsive... after a while, come again the input lag...
