Javelin anti cheat launch error "unacceptable configuration" 0xB3829EB7DE50BDB7
I have been unable to launch FC26 after a windows 11 update (it might have been before but I last played a bit before I did the update so I am unsure if this would've occurred on Windows 10 as well for me) because EA javelin anticheat consistently fails with the unacceptable configuration error (0xB3829EB7DE50BDB7).
My system is running Windows 11 pro 25H2, build 26200.9168, on the normal public windows release, so not enrolled on the insider program.
One other behaviour I noticed is that every FC 26 launch now triggers a Windows UAC prompt requesting administrator permission for EA Javelin AntiCheat. I do not remember this happening when FC 26 was working normally.
I have done quite a lot of troubleshooting at this point, including:
- Completely reinstalling Javelin several times in various ways.
- Repairing/verifying FC 26
- Reinstalling FC26
- Reinstalling EA app
- Performing a Windows clean boot with third-party services/startup applications disabled
- Performing a Windows 11 repair reinstall through Windows Update
- Updating my motherboard BIOS
- Updating my AMD chipset drivers, GPU drivers and other relevant system drivers.
- Secure boot and TPM are enabled. Windows is running in UEFI mode.
- Testing with Memory Integrity/Core Isolation changes
- Network reset/DNS troubleshooting and testing another internet connection
- Testing from a completely new Windows user account
- Removing or disabling various virtual-device, controller, hardware-monitoring and other third-party kernel drivers for testing
- Checking specifically for known incompatible software such as reWASD/DAEMON Tools/DiscSoft remnants
- Following EA Support’s suggestion to test FC 26 with CFG and Mandatory ASLR overrides disabled in Exploit Protection.
None of these tests changed the error.
a LastSessionId is generated after a failed launch, but LastServiceSessionId is not generated.
Event Viewer / diagnostic information
The failure is very consistent. EA Javelin records: 0xB3829EB7DE50BDB7
Windows Service Control Manager reports: EAAntiCheatService terminated with %%4294950327
which corresponds to: 0xFFFFBDB7
The EA AntiCheat filesystem filter itself successfully loads and registers, and then unloads after the failed launch.
I have been contacted EA help on this case, but I feel like there was not much help on troubleshooting but the advisor did tell me my issue would be reported as a bug for the game team to investigate.
At this point though I am mainly trying to find out why Javelin is rejecting my specific system configuration and can provide what is necessary to figure this out, because I would like to figure this out before this becomes an issue for me with FC27 as well.
(Side notes: I have never used any mods or had any modded files for FC26. I own the game through the ea app only, not steam. Also, the Dxdiag mentions Proton VPN which was installed briefly as a troubleshooting test after this issue was already present and has since been completely uninstalled. The error predates that installation.)
I saw in another thread about this issue that we could tag you to receive support on this so hereby a tag, EA_Aljo , I hope you can help me troubleshoot this. I have attached a dxdiag to this post
