PS4 Gameplay and Menus: UNPLAYABLE

Usually I play on PS5 but am unable to for a few months. Hence I am playing UT on PS4 and I am at my last tether. I am desperatly seeking help, advice, any technical experiences. The state of this game is so beyond playable.

The Gameplay

I have played around 100 UT matches now on PS4. I have yet to have a sliver of enjoyment, let alone a feeling other than frustration or despair. I have continued to play for my love of football and certain elements of the game, such as evolutions and squad building. Each time I hope the games have somehow improved - a reality that has yet to be formed.

The primary struggles:

1. Player movement/dribbling is so ridiculously poor I find myself chucking in a mix of indignation and acceptance of reality. Players, no matter their stats, move like 10-tonne trucks and fail to execute simple mechanics, like short passes and shots, with accuracy or flair. I'm not asking for Neymar Jr Joga Bonita (although I would hope for that given EA's resources), but simply playable movement so a football team feels like a football team - not characters coded by a 2-month old. This frustrates me especially when Yamal turns with the agility of a submarine when using left-stick dribbling.
2. Passing is disgusting. How a football game can be like this is beyond me. The key fundamental cannot even be completed on the most basic level. Passes are sluggish, the ball jerks around, my own players run into each other, preventing one from passing to the other - to name a few.
3. Delay. In every form. I like to think two steps ahead, with passes, skill moves, shots, so that my football flows. In this gameplay? No way. I must focus on each minor pixel so that, first, the ball is passed from Player A to B, before then thinking what to with Player B, and onwards. How is this even possible? I feel that everything is in -250 speed. Slow motion. Delayed slow motion.

The Menus

Menus are slow, sluggish, and unpredictable. I love to grind menus. However this is not possible as each movement takes 2-3 seconds. Toggling between evos, objectives, SBCs on that left hand slider? Each one 2-3 seconds. Adding players to a squad - even an SBC with say 5 players needed? Takes 30 seconds. I have resigned to not grinding menus on PS4. Just using companion/web app. Some game this is when I have to constantly find work arounds to tailor to its incompetency.

Ok. I appreciate whoever is reading, and for most, comiserating. I am simply desperate for anything - answers, advice, tips.

Hardware limitations. EA-side problems (servers, delay, gameplay). What I can do to hopefully improve things. Anything. I mean it, thank you for any advice.

What I've done + my devices: I play on a 2016 Samsung TV with Game Mode ON and PS4 connected via ethernet.
