Forum Discussion
Hello EA/Community,
I am posting to report a critical, chronic, and completely unacceptable performance issue in FC 26 on PC: random, massive FPS drops (stuttering/lag) that render the game unplayable.
The Problem: The game often starts or transitions into a state where the frame rate plummets to single digits (or very low FPS), making quick gameplay impossible.
The UNACCEPTABLE Workaround:
The only way to force the game back to its normal, smooth, expected FPS is by restarting the game multiple times.
My Recent Experience (Proof it's a bug):
I am currently forced to restart FC 26 up to 15 times before a session finally runs smoothly. This is a massive waste of time and kills the desire to play.
The Undeniable Truth:
- It is NOT a PC/Hardware issue. If my PC couldn't handle the game, it would be unplayable 100% of the time. The fact that the game runs perfectly after repeated restarts clearly indicates a software bug—likely related to memory, resource allocation, or the anti-cheat system on startup/session initialization.
- This is not a minor inconvenience; it is a fundamental flaw that is actively driving players away.
Conclusion and Demand:
This situation is frustrating and completely unsustainable. EA must acknowledge this widespread issue and release an urgent patch (fix) to permanently resolve this severe performance bug. We deserve a functional product.
Thank you for your attention. We are waiting for a quick and effective resolution.
EXACTLY how my experience is. I restart it like 4-5 times and if im lucky on the third attempt, game runs smooth in kickoff, and when going back to menu, if everything still smooth - i can finally go into pro clubs with the boys. Otherwise, if im not testing it that way, I cause the whole club to leave as soon as we get into a game, since the cutscene before the game shows that the problem exist, meaning I have like 2 fps.
