Why Are Controller Input Delay & Gameplay Lag Still Ignored on PC After 3 Weeks?

It has now been three weeks since FC 26 released, and there are still no acknowledgements or updates about two major issues affecting a significant number of PC players.

1. Controller input delay (officially added to the "investigating" list on September 19th)
2. Gameplay lag or slow-motion gameplay that looks like the match is running at 0.25x speed even when FPS is high

The second issue hasn’t been acknowledged at all, and it’s just as serious.

Players have been reporting this for weeks, but nothing was mentioned in the most recent patch notes. Meanwhile, other issues like settings not saving were added to the list on September 18th, so it’s not like EA isn’t aware of player feedback.

What makes this more frustrating is:

• FC 25 ran perfectly fine on the same machines. I personally ran FC 25 at up to 165 FPS with no issues, and my build still exceeds the recommended specs for FC 26. How does performance drop this drastically in 12 months?
• The only way to partially fix the slow-motion gameplay is to cap at 30 FPS, which is completely unreasonable for a fast-paced game in 2025.
• Most pro players and content creators use desktops, high-end rigs or consoles, so this isn’t getting the same visibility it would if they were affected. But that doesn’t mean it’s a small issue.
• Many of us have spent a lot of money on this game and still can’t play it properly because basic optimization isn’t there. This is one of the most expensive games on the market right now. It's not some low-budget indie release.

It’s extremely disappointing to see a game released in this state and then have core performance problems ignored. Some of us literally can’t enjoy the product we paid for. The early access period came and went without us even being able to experience it, even though that was the main reason we purchased Ultimate Edition at a premium price.

We’re not asking for miracles, but at least provide some acknowledgment and transparency.

Can we please get an official statement or update about:

• The gameplay lag or slow-motion issue (not just controller input delay)
• Whether it’s being investigated
• Whether it’s tied to certain hardware (such as laptops)
• What timeframe we’re looking at for a fix

Ignoring this only makes players feel like our experience doesn’t matter. We just want to play the game we paid for.
