Why won't my game load?

I start the game, and it takes a solid 5-10 minutes to even load the home screen. If I do manage to load in, it takes just as long, if not longer to get into any game mode (clubs, ultimate team, even career mode)

I uninstalled and reinstalled it, and it still has the same issues. I've spent more time trying to log into the game than actually playing it.

How can I resolve this? It is really dampening the mood on my weekend. Can't even play clubs without having my friends wait over 20-30 minutes for me to get in. 

I doubt it is my wifi connection, as I am on an Ethernet cable and we have 500 Mbps on an unlimited plan. I've restarted the router and even played other online games without issues.
