Old Gen Console

I’m playing on an old gen Xbox One. Anyone on here playing on the old gen consoles too?

If so, what is your online gameplay like? I’ve tried all manner of settings but 90% of games I play, the opponents from kick off to FT pass, run, turn, dribble at speeds I’ve never seen on or offline on this console…. Also their AI vs my AI seem like World Class v Amateur….. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated to improve the online experience. I’m playing wired, 1gb Virgin Super Fast Fibre. Tried every option of matchmaking settings. I’ve learnt can’t enable Crossplay or it gets worse….
