Galaxy A72: Severe Frame Drops in FC 25 (CPU at Max Level 5 & Cool Temp)

Since Update 26, I am experiencing major frame drops during H2H matches and training sessions on my Galaxy A72 (Snapdragon 720G). I have already performed a system Wipe Cache Partition and cleared game cache, but the issue persists.

​Technical Proof (Attached Image):

I am attaching a combined screenshot from Samsung's Thermal Guardian which proves the following:

​CPU Performance: The CPU is consistently running at Level 5 (Maximum Power) during the frame drops.

​Thermals: The device temperature is well below the thermal threshold.

​This confirms that the issue is NOT related to thermal throttling or hardware limitations, but rather a software optimization bug with the new update on this specific chipset.

​Please investigate this compatibility issue

  • Visual evidence of the inconsistency: Agent 1 (Abhimanyu) confirms it's a technical issue for escalation. Agent 2 (Pobi) completely ignores the history and calls it a 'connection issue'. This is why we can't get a fix

  • Final Update on my Frame Drops Case (#233305044)

    ​After multiple chat sessions and technical escalations, here is the summary of what happened:

    ​Official Confirmation: EA Support <removed> officially confirmed that my issue is now filed as a Bug Report regarding optimization, not a device issue.

    ​Technical Data: I provided detailed logs and a specific Timestamp (Dec 29, 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM) to help the Dev team track the CPU performance during frame drops.

    ​Dedicated Queue: My case was transferred to a Dedicated technical queue where Advisor Satyam recorded all the device info and Player ID <removed> for the specialists.

    ​Current Status: The case is marked as "No Fix Available" because the fix must come from a Server-side update or a Patch, as the troubleshooting steps were already exhausted.

    ​Next Steps: The investigation is ongoing. I was advised to monitor official channels and the In-game messaging for any upcoming patches.

    ​I hope the Dev team prioritizes this optimization fix for Update 26.

    You need to remember that first-tier helpdesks typically just follow scripts and SOPs/MOPs/best effort practices that mostly get people to restart their equipment or restart the app or clear the cache, in a similar manner to what your average Internet Provider/workplace IT support desk would tell you, as it will resolve 90% of the issues on the fly (or rather get rid of the immediate problem/mask it for time being without addressing the root cause).
    Your issue is outside of that, so here we are. I'm not familiar with the triggers that the EA helpdesk uses to escalate an issue further up the chain, as I don't work there. However, this definitely warrants an escalation IMO, as per basic ITIL practices.
    Anyway, I'll see if I can find an available CM through the escalation channels that Heroes have access to. The time of the year isnt helping though :|

    Thank you so much dzrtr for your support and for acknowledging that this is a root-cause issue beyond standard troubleshooting.

    ​I have already been in contact with EA Support, and they have officially filed this as a Bug Report under Case #233305044. I have also provided them with specific timestamps and data regarding the CPU performance during these frame drops.

    ​I would really appreciate it if you could flag this to a CM through your escalation channels. I’m just looking for a technical investigation to fix the optimization issue that started after Update 26

  • Update for everyone 

    ​I just had a very disappointing interaction with EA Help regarding Case #233305044. Despite resuming the case and providing detailed CPU logs to help fix the performance issues, the support agent (JV) spent the entire session stalling and trying to deflect the issue to in-game support.

    ​In the end, they simply marked the case as 'No Fix Available' and ended the chat. This is unacceptable when technical data has been provided specifically to help the Dev team. It feels like the support team is just trying to close tickets rather than resolving actual bugs.

    ​I’m posting this here because I trust the Community Team more than the chat support. please look into this case. The logs are there, the bug is real, and 'No Fix Available' is not a valid answer for a technical investigation that hasn't even started.

    At the moment, we haven’t been able to confirm a specific, widespread compatibility issue between this device and GPU, and we’re not seeing a volume of similar reports. That’s why this may be related to device-specific configuration factors.

    If the standard troubleshooting steps didn’t resolve the issue, please also consider factors that may be outside our direct control. Our team always aims to optimize the game as much as possible, but performance can vary across many different devices and configurations. In the meantime, please try adjusting the in-game graphics settings (lowering resolution, shadows, and effects commonly helps improve performance).
