There seems to be a lot of people advocating the virtues of 2k23, so why are they in this forum and not in the 2k23 forum?I have played 2k23 and enjoyed it most of the time, but could not cope with the swing mechanics and ball physics. I have friend who plays 2k23, he loves it, but he gets frustrated ay the swing mechs.However ea has provided me with a way to play golf from a beginner struggling to find consistency and form to play at pro level. As in real golf i take my time to study the course/conditions and to strategise each hole. I play career mode with ai's on 100% and play every round.Now if i want to play golf because i am limited for time i can play a selection of holes on any course, no problem.My issue is really to do with those people who are trying to make ea golf like 2k23. They are different games aimed at different audiences and each game has its unique philosophy.Ea golf is not perfect, and i don't expect it to be, but i do want to see improvements evolving in future updates (the swing/ball physics/are all great) but the bugs in career commentary/penal bad lies/ai proficiency/turn based online play/country clubs all need to be addressed to make the game a classic.I think the devs have done a great job so far, but they do need to keep updating and improving, and more importantly, keep members informed regularly. The devs have done a poor job as evidenced by people wanting things that have been in every golf game for the last 25 years (including EA's own games) that they didn't think to include in this game.
People compare to 2K23 cause it's the only other golf game on the market. I play that as well. Both games have strong points, weak points and glaring omissions (2K still has no gimmies).

I agree somewhat with you there, some wants a course creator and other settings in 2K23. Probably never going to happen. But there are also others who just always want the perfect sim golf game. And they will never be happy since it's never going to be perfect enough. Perfect Golf was the perfection of perfect and somehow not perfect enough for those complaining all the time.

I agree with the comment. It was the people who want the perfect sim game that ruined the experience by making game more difficult for everyone else. Yet they are still not satisfied. One big example is they made the bug report to change lipout physics in Update 3.0 with the addition of enhanced RNG. Before Update 3.0, I preferred current EA PGA Tour over 2K23. After Update 3.0, all bets were off because the people who wanted the perfect sim imposed their preferences on arcade gamers like me. I probably would have never posted anything about 2K23 if Update 3.0 never happened. The sad part is the perfect sim players joined the chorus of unhappy arcade players for the change they requested in the first place. I liked TW14 because it was the best arcade game, even better than 2K23.
