GW1: "Failed to launch game, error on our end caused the launch to fail".

So, I seriously spent £18 for a game I can't even launch? What a joke. I spent my hard earned money which you take like candy in exchange for something I can't even load..

But more than 24 hours, still get this, don't expect a response, considering we haven't heard anything back in terms of why Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 is down due to recent cheating issue and the "lobby destroyer mod" being publicly released.

Even if he launches the game, he won't be able to play multiplayer. All game sessions remain unplayable due to hackers taking over and controlling EA's servers!

thanks for your response, this unfortunately didn't fix my PVZ GW 1 from launching.

    I've done the following:

Cleared the cache of the app

Added all necessary files to my antivirus

Updated windows and my GPU drivers

    Repaired the game file

Uninstalled and reinstalled the game and EA software

And it still doesn't work unfortunately.

Hey Ev1ilPenguin , we've seen the posts about the Garden Warfare 2 issues and we're waiting on more info from the teams.

Regarding this issue, here are some steps you can try to see if that helps:

    • Clear the EA app's cache by clicking on the three dashes in the far-left corner > Help > App Recovery > Clear cache
    • Try adding EA app as an exclusion to Windows Security by adding the following files to the exclusion:

      • EADesktop.exe, EALauncher.exe & EABackgroundService.exe in C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop

    • Update your graphic drivers, as some users have fixed this issue by upgrading their old drivers
    • There are a few more steps listed here if that helps (the thread is for The Sims 4, but there are still steps that can be useful):

[CURRENT ISSUE] Sims 4 Failed to Launch Game
