GW2 Sticker Shop Hangs Up On Loading

After not playing this game on Xbox One for a little over a year, my son installed it onto his Xbox Series X and all of his progress is gone.  The more important issue, however, is that the sticker shop shows 49 packs to open and upon trying to open them, the game goes into loading mode and he is eventually kicked for being idle and the game has to be restarted.  From looking at various videos, we went and deleted the save data, uninstalled/reinstalled the game.  Note, he has all the DLC's for this game from his previous version on Xbox One.  We had to uninstall all of those as well, in the hope that this problem would be solved as suggested by a few videos we watched.  It still didn't work.  Uninstall/Reinstall once more and still nothing.  

I know EA has all but given up on this franchise, but we spent a lot of money on this game over the years and now we can no longer access the items we bought.  Even on the Xbox One, this problem also occurs.  The game is still playable, but the sticker shop will not allow him to open packs.  I need to know if there is a solution to this problem as this happened through no fault of our own.  The game was installed and the problem was there waiting for us.  Is this going to turn into a tech support nightmare or can this be resolved?
