@ZorbaKing64Oh please if a few whiny gamers on the internet sunk a game and in turn an entire franchise than it was never gonna succeed.
Bfn failed because the game had no marketing, nada, zilch and the studio was hemorrhaging money after the scrapped and cancelled projects! We've had knowledge of this for months now!
No offense but I don't want to freaking hear about the fans are the problem for the behind the scenes corporate bs one more gosh dang time!
Also we did ask for missing content in bfn and took then months to ever act on it.
Solo play a base gw2 feature was not in the game for months DESPITE the fact that they were already using AI for gamemodes in battle chests AND put AI backfill in the games. We still dont have solo ops with bot teammates. And that's even going into how badly they butchered ops and the spawnables system
Nobody gave up on bfn just because it wasn't gw3. They gave up because of how absolutely tedious the game was during those months yet how slow actual content out even before Covid. No offense again but the amount of people who also seem to have selective amnesia when it comes to all of that infuriate me.
I was there for the days before switch and when prize bulbs had to be grinded for with 10,000 xp for just one on unstable servers. That was not fun.
