✨Service 2.0 Update - Feedback Thread✨

Since this last update that I see happened on my phone at 12:37, I traveled from my main city to the frosty region and now when trying to get back to my main city or any other city my game crashes immediately. I can't do any mayors pass assignments because I can't get back to my main city where all my factories and commercial buildings are. I cant do anything. I'm level 80, literally almost level 81. I do NOT want to have to start ALL THE WAY OVER. I have so much money and time invested in this game. I'm president of a club. Which my son is also a member of and a few friends of mine. I have so many awesome buildings, landscape, parks,transportation, entertainment, gambling, etc etc. I cant lose everything I've spent like 7 years working so hard to get. Please please fix this. I play this game every single day. Multiple times a day. Not a day goes by that I don't play this game. Please help me. 

"Mayor's Wheel" aka blimp spin is chronically broken. Many ads dont trigger wheel spin action and even landed rewards like SimCash are not credited to account after being earned. Worst offender in my painfully frequent experience is Royal Kingdom. Raid Shadow Legends are quite tolerable by comparison and generally work. This is a major drag on trust and desire to maintain an active account.

Any solution to the bug where city remains red when all the services are above the capacity? They are connected to the road and buildings have been restored but problem persist and game is nearly unplayable, i lost 10k citizens 

Just checking in after a couple weeks of being uninstalled to see if EA has rolled back the dumpster fire disaster patch yet or not...looks like they are really doubling down on stupid and not doing anything, acting like the hundreds of posts here telling them that this patch is terrible are all unfounded, full-blown denial mode. The fact that they still haven't fixed or reversed this abomination makes me feel like I should just forget it and move on, because even if they did amend this huge mistake, we now know they are only one code push away from completely wrecking the entire game again any given week and would likely again ignore all feedback and take months to forever to resolve. 

When I went on Google play to update my 1-star review with important details to hopefully save any potential new players from getting involved with this grief machine, I did notice that the number of 1-star reviews and comments about how bad Disservices 2.0 is, are way up. So, if you arrived here and read my post, we know two things to be true. 1) You certainly don't work for EA, and 2) you are really upset about this. My best advice is that you won't find any satisfaction or resolution from posting on this forum, and your best option is to go on Google play or Apple store and post a 1-star review and warn the other potential victims of this horror before they go thru the same pain and anger and frustration everyone is currently living through.

I’m going on two months now with no reply from customer service, management or anybody in EA. I got the 2.0 update and hate it. I’ve lost all my services i.e. power, water, waste, etc. and can’t fix it. My city is almost completely abandoned now and the game is completely unplayable. There is no help had to fix this so beyond frustrated! 

EA has replied, they have said they are listening and taking all our complaints etc and frustrations about this game….yeah right pftttt. If they were concerned and are listening you’d think they would have said …ok we are sorry you feel that way, but nope not a peep.

Put the game back to how it was, stop with all of this bs currancy debacle, stop with getting us to pay money for items that nobody wants or needs.

I really feel for the newbies who don’t have a clue on how to play this game without spending money

Ive been playing 11 years now and have well over 600 items in storage of which I have nowhere to put them and the items you’re  trying to sell to the newbies I have got already. I got them from Mayors challenges and event tracks plus bought some with gold and platinum keys. You really should let the newbies pay the same way.

Hello, is anyone out there. This is a player in search of a response from EA on all the feedback. You asked for it, you got it, you obviously don’t like it, and are scared to admit your mistakes.

Have you no pride, decency, honesty etc. or are you just real money grabbing machines with no emotion or empathy for those you’re ripping of. You must be losing so much money because people who used to spend won’t or left the game. This forces you to do shrinkflation again and issue another overly complicated impossible to complete without massive real expenditure season.

Make it simple, easy and the money will roll in

It took me more than 2 weeks to get my city back to working order.  I have posted many of my experiences on my journey through the services 2.0 update. As well as posting them on Reddit. I hope they can help you get through this "update".

The effort to earn the seasonal currency to obtain the so-called reward is highly disproportional.  Couple that with the ongoing shrinkflation on just about every aspect of the game.   And let's not forget those people who are going through the transition for services 2.0 update, which adds whole another level of frustration and expense.

Regarding game play:

The cozy homes are a a unique feature of the season however the need to constantly upgrade to get seasonal currency is way to time consuming. The seasonal hot spot (Santa's airport) is nearly impossible to upgrade because you've made the cost in seasonal currency too high and have not provided enough currency rewards. Personally, while I enjoy playing the game I simply don't have the time, nor the desire, to keep upgrading cozy homes to get enough seasonal currency to do the upgrade.

Regarding other changes with the update:

It seems that with every new update EA introduces changes that result in fewer rewards and more money needed to get them. The changes to the vu tracks are a prime example. The tracks are shorter, you've created a fourth one, and they all cost more money. I do understand that you are a corporation that wants to make a good profit, but this is gouging your customers and, for me at least, is making it much less likely that I will purchase any of the tracks.

This trend of reduced rewards and more payments required has been extremely frustrating and disheartening. Beginning with the significant change made to the mayors pass when it was shortened to 30 days and the rewards were reduced by about half, yet the price was still the same. Granted, there have been some positive changes that actually benefit the players, like the expansion of storage and the reduced need for services. However the constant changes resulting in paying more for fewer rewards significantly offsets and undermines those few positive changes. 

In conclusion, if you really want to make this game more enjoyable for your customers, stop trying to gouge them for everything and offer more rewards for less pay.
