If the game cost money, I could totally understand your frustrations way more; I would be with you 100%. Is it annoying? For sure, but like Piakaaa said, it's usually a three-ish-minute wait.
Is EA a dumb company? Yes. Are you "owed" their respect? No, you're not owed anything from anyone. If you feel like they insulted you by making a FREE game, then don't play it. I truly hate the free-to-play style games, but I love every previous Skate game, so that's why I'm playing this one. I just refuse to give them any money for it because, to me, all microtransactions are stupid and a waste of money, and if someone likes microtransactions, then that's a whole other issue.
