Areas for improvement

I’ve been keeping an eye on the new Skate game, and while I’m excited, there are some areas I really think need improvement.

Textures & Rendering: The current textures look a bit underwhelming. They really need to polish the graphics and upgrade the rendering to make the environments and characters look more realistic and immersive. Skateboarding games thrive on atmosphere, and visuals play a huge part in that.

Responsiveness: The controls and overall gameplay should feel smoother and more responsive. Sometimes animations look stiff, and tricks don’t always flow naturally. A more fluid system would make the game feel closer to real skateboarding.

Features from Skate 3: Please bring back the unique features that made Skate 3 so fun — like darkside grinding and darkside tricks. These little details gave players more creative freedom, and they’d fit perfectly in this new title.

Customisation Freedom: One of the biggest draws of skating culture is individuality. The game should give us way more freedom to customise our skater  from clothing, accessories and gear to skateboards, shoes, and even trick styles. Let players really express themselves.

Progression System: A meaningful progression system would make the game more rewarding. Unlocking gear, locations, challenges, and tricks over time gives players a sense of growth and keeps the gameplay fresh and motivating.

Overall, I think Skate has a lot of potential, but if EA really wants it to stand out, the focus should be on improving textures, graphics, and responsiveness, while also carrying forward the best features from Skate 3. Adding deeper customisation and a strong progression system would take it to another level.
