Challenges status - Main topic

Update info : 2025-11-03 (For my fellow americans ISO 8601)
Reviewing for 0.28.5 challenges done. I've reached 60k max character with this post.

Preamble

So the goal here is to list every challenges so far (the static ones and the ones in rotation. The mission challenges aren't displayed here) and point out if there is an issue with it. The advantage is to list everything in one post and communicate on every challenge to seek help if needed. If there is workaround on bugged mission, a link will be provided into the arrays.

Note : Reviewing 0.28.5 done.

Don't be shy, I stated some challenge as "No issue" but i'm sure there is some. I reaplayed almost every challenge listed and so far I'm fine with what I wrote. If you do not agree, please share your feelings.

Feel free to leave an upvote, so it can benefit more people.

Issue type

First thing first, I will explain below what I meant in the "Issue type" column as it cannot be fully understandable :

  • Grind issue : It implies that the rail or grindable surface is bugged or the physics do not behave as intended. Some rail have the bad habits to make turn your character on itself and miss your line/trick.
  • Boundary(ies) : It means that on the current challenge, when you do your tricks correctfully, the challenge doesn't validate the trick(s)/objective(s). But it does if you are in the said boundaries (aka the yellow-orange-ish area).
  • Challenge design : The challenge works but some objective are way too long or miscalculated. Or the challenge tell you to perform some tricks but validates it only in certain order.
  • Skill issue : The community has to be better. The challenge is not that hard.
  • Hippy jump : Hippy jump is either bugged because it cannot pass under the obstacle or bugged due to boundary issue.
  • Physics issue : Pretty straightforward, the physics is incoherent with how it should behave

For other type, they are mostly self-explainatory.

    This is great! I don't think I've seen a comprehensive list of challenges anywhere yet. 

     Maybe add a column for Challenge Location(Hartcore plaza, The O.R.B., etc. ), and whether it's rotating or static.

    Hi !

    Good advice but the issue is that my recent update reach the max 60k character for a post (because of all the html behind the arrays).
    So I may split into multiple post this one.

    what about the issue of all of the challenges being really boring? 

    by that i mean they are all the same exact thing with different names. the only difference is stunts.

    but all skating missions are "get these points, do this many tricks or do a trick to trick, collect all the bearings, do all at once" with the caveat of being on a timer or not.

    my point being how about instead of fixing these boring missions how about phasing them out for something better? because in all the other skate games you went to a mission and it was a TYPE of mission. all of em were different except pro challenges could be anything.

    doing these dailies are just really unfulfilling

    Hi !

    Don't get me wrong, I'm not affiliated with EA, I'm just a random player that want to make a summary on challenge bug status for either the players and the dev team.

    Your feedback is valuable but this post is not the place to.

    EA's ignoring the bulk of the community for posts like this that are just bug fixes.

    not listening to the community like they've been proposing since day 1. sorry that its bled out to this post.

    but if they arent going to listen to the problems most of the community is pointing out. the community is gunna come for them where they are hiding on posts like this where its just bugs. no dev has made a comment about 99% of the communities complaints but they will come in to say thank you so much for doing unpaid playtest work. I.E. this what you just did. 

    realize when you are being used my guy. you arent being paid at all in any way. but you are doing what used to be a salary job for EA.

    if EA would take time to listen to all of the community and not knit pick. i wouldnt be here
